On the morning of November 6, the factory of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. located in VISIP III Industrial Park in Binh Duong started trial operation after two years of construction. Currently, the progress of construction and equipment installation has reached about 90%, and the company is promoting recruitment, and it is expected that the number of employees will double by 2025.
The factory is designed to be the most sustainable LEGO factory ever built. The company has installed 12,400 rooftop solar panels with an estimated total capacity of approximately 7.34 MWp, equivalent to the electricity needed to power 1,270 homes for a year.
"For us, sustainability is not only a commitment, but also a guide for all our activities. We want children to continue to inherit a green planet, just like every LEGO brick we create has the mission of inspiring creativity" said Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen
